No matter what others around us think, say or do, we will stay close to our God and go with Him through everything. After all, it`s the most important relationship of our lives! Let us also take note here that if we do not walk in accordance with God (i.e. in his own way according to His Word and Spirit), we actually walk in disagreement (or confirming, against God). In Leviticus 26, we find that God gave the nation of Israel a clear description of what it meant to walk in accordance with Him [including blessings for it] – and what it meant to convert to disagree with Him [including oaths for him]. Note the following verses. First, we will look at two of the commandments that they should follow. Are there places in your life where you do not go into communion with Jesus? In the coming days, pray and fast in these territories, so that you may release them and walk in accordance with Him. The context of verse 3 deals with both northern and southern Israel, and how they decided to live against the principles of God`s Word. They had become immoral and idolized.
They had fallen in love with the cultures of the pagan nations that surround them. God tells them here that he cannot walk with these people because they do not agree with him. Are you going with our God? Is he your best friend? We know what that means. It involves how we live our lives. I John is a letter written to a parish, and he commands the parishioners that communion depends on walking in the light. That`s how you have to have a community. Going together is also necessary for personal relationships. Married couples must walk side by side, by mutual agreement.
If you`re married and you can do it, I`m sure good things will happen to you. This is obviously not necessarily a two-way agreement, because couples can go together in accordance with God. My friends. Let`s learn to go together in accordance with the Lord. Let us learn to walk together, in accordance with those close to us, using the Bible as a framework. Sometimes it can be difficult because sometimes there are disagreements, but we can at least make the effort. At least try and see what happens. You will certainly find that he will also get closer to you when you approach the Lord. It`s probably also happening with loved ones who see that you have an honest attempt to go with them.
Thank you for reading my friends and blessing God. Stubbornness, selfishness and pride are often across the road; they constantly stumble at us and make us stumble and sink into our relationships. For this reason, you will see how people flock to others who share similar interests, likes, dislikes, backgrounds and experiences. This is also why “attracting opposition” is a generally false and dangerous expression when it comes to relationships. People like other people who agree with them, because it makes living together a lot easier. To go with God, we must also agree. But in our agreement with God, there is no room for compromise… We have to agree with him. Period.
I have often quoted this verse when I preach, especially when I talk about issues of separation. How is it that the avowed Christian now feels so comfortable walking alongside the people of the world who do not know Christ? There has to be an agreement for there to be a community. Now I can run with anyone for a short distance. Sometimes I will have to work with people who are not Christians; and I hope that I will go for a while with a lost one and try to convince him to trust Christ. Jesus went and sometimes went with a few people lost to reach them. But I don`t think this verse is about casual, targeted or limited contact with the lost world around us. It`s a real community.
